Meet the Author

Paul Mallamo – a 2008 McDowell fellow with a Master’s of Science in Education with an emphasis in exercise physiology from the University of Kansas and a license in addiction counseling. Paul uses weight training as a key component to successful addiction recovery in the Kansas City metro area and beyond. He calls this “sober lifting,” which is lifting weights with the express intent of staying sober. His book will help you with your goals of getting fit and staying sober.
